Garlic Karam Podi Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 10 garlic cloves
  • 10 dried red chilies
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon coriander seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon black peppercorns
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 10 curry leaves

Instructions:

  1. Dry roast all the ingredients in a pan over medium heat until fragrant.
  2. Let the ingredients cool down completely.
  3. Grind the roasted ingredients into a coarse powder in a blender.
  4. Store the powder in an airtight container.

To use:

Sprinkle the garlic karam podi on hot rice, idlis, dosas, or roti. You can also add it to curries and stews for a boost of flavor.
